Split the Difference When it comes to home theater equipment, we all want to hold onto what we ve got. Receivers especially are built to last. HDMI has taken over the world of audio video technology, but any receiver purchased before 2003 and some purchased much later do not have any way to connect to HDMI. That doesn t mean you should have to buy expensive replacements or tolerate analog video. If your devices don t have a separate audio output, the only way to separate the audio from an HDMI cable is by using a converting device like Vanco s 280573 HDMI Audio Extractor. This HDMI Audio Extractor accepts a single HDMI in. The video is carried along to the HDMI which you would then plug straight into your television. For the audio out, you have several options. For digitally compatible receivers, there is an optical and a digital coax slot. 3.5mm is the analog output, which can be changed to left and right RCA with a small, simple adapter. There are buttons on the side to change the output to either 5.1 for the digital options or 2 channel for analog. The HDMI output on the 280573 audio extractor is fully HDCP compliant and leaves all high resolution and 3D features intact. Set up is simple and the small size means you can neatly hide it. All you need are the cables and an available outlet. The provided 5v power supply must be plugged in for this device to properly convert your signal. Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
