The MRX-4IR is an elegant little solution for places you dont want to run Cat5 cable or where it doesnt make sense to add a URC Advanced MRX Network Controller. Ceiling-mounted front projectors or TVs that are suspended from a kitchen ceiling are two typical examples where this small piece comes into play.Communicating over a network using Wi-Fi or a wired LAN connection, the MRX-4IR receives commands from the System Controller and relays them, via IR, to other components in the system. It features four IR emitter outputs and a front IR blaster. One classic application is controlling the TV in the kitchen where there is no room for a larger MRX Controller. Or use it to control ceiling-mount projectors, or flat panel TVs over the fireplace. Plus, its small size allows it to fit into places where a traditional base station would not.The MRX-4IR can also be installed independent of URCs Total Control system and operated by URC Network System Products. This product line includes the MX-5000, MX-6000 remotes and KP-4000C in-wall touchscreen. A typical example is a Sports Bar controlling ceiling-mounted flat panels with a KP-4000C mounted out of harms way.
