It can be used with lights up to a 500 watt total capacity and has built in surge protection of up to 6,000V . It has a photoelectric control that automatically deactivates the unit during daylight. It compensates for ambient temperature, and has a manual override feature that resets itself to automatic after six hours or at dawn.
