It allows internal barrel serrations grip wires tightly to reduce electrical resistance. It has color-coded insulator and wire range stamped on terminal to provide easy identification. Disconnect features tin plated brass construction for corrosion resistance. Raised barrel of the terminal is properly crimped to the incoming wire insulation to give wire support.
